Who we are
Not your typical pawn shop.
Modern Pawn & Guns is family owned and part of the Afram family's three stores at 1701 Airline Road, alongside Afram's Jewelers and Capital Coin. Some of our customers have been coming to us for more than thirty years, since before we moved to Airline.
We're a pawn shop by name and a full gun store by inventory: new and used guns, suppressors over the counter, Cerakote and custom builds in house, transfers, layaway and pawn loans. The crew on the floor, the managers and the owners all help customers, and nobody is going to rush you or oversell you.

“You just can't ask for better Customer Service and Support. The place is ADA compliant which really impressed me. The People are top knotch and very knowledgeable. I've been doing business with them since long before the Airline location... some 34 Years Now. I'm proud to call them friends.”Benjamin B., Google review
“Mr. Afram, his wife, his kids and his crew are all wonderful to work with! Very knowledgeable, very professional and of course very helpful.”
Jeff D., Google review“Ive been shopping here for years. Great service, super fast, very knowledgeable. I recommend all my family and friends to them. They have the best selection in the area! The newest guy, managers, even the owner are out on the floor helping customs with any questions they have. Im a modern pawn customer if your in the market stop by and see why there the best. * 3/6/21 I’ve made multiple purchases since this review and still be best shop I’ve been too. Staff knowledge, stock and pricing even during covid and Gun and ammo shortage cannot be beat. They also made the paperwork and purchase of 3 suppressors a breeze. I won’t shop anywhere else I’d be wasting my time and money.”
Jesus C., Google review“I've been a customer for 10 years now. I got some of my first firearms from here, and I now have a daughter and she too has been to the store with me. Ive never been let down or disappointed and they will work with you on prices.”
