Terms of Use
Last updated November 1, 2026
Welcome to the Modern Pawn & Guns website. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
About this site
This website gives general information about Modern Pawn & Guns and what we do. Nothing on it is an offer, a contract or a promise that a particular item is in stock. Inventory changes daily, and prices and availability are confirmed in the store.
Buying firearms
Every firearm sale and transfer follows federal, state and local law. You'll fill out the ATF Form 4473 and pass a background check, and you must be old enough under federal law: 18 for a rifle or shotgun and 21 for a handgun from a licensed dealer. We may refuse any sale or transfer at our discretion.
Information on this site about suppressors, short-barreled rifles and other regulated items is general and may change as the law changes. It isn't legal advice. Ask us about your situation before you buy.
FFL transfers and online orders
Our online store at mpguns.com runs under its own terms. Guns ordered there or shipped to us from another seller are released only after the transfer paperwork and background check are complete.
Pawn loans
Your pawn ticket is your loan agreement. It sets out the amount, the charges, the due date and your options, and it controls over anything on this website. A pawned firearm is returned only after you complete the Form 4473 and pass a background check, as federal law requires.
Modern Pawn & Guns is licensed and examined by the Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner (OCCC), 2601 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas 78705, (800) 538-1579, occc.texas.gov. Contact the OCCC with questions or complaints about a pawn transaction.
Selling to us
Offers are based on the item, its condition and the market on the day, and a sale is final once both of us agree in the store. Texas law requires us to record each purchase, including your name, address, a description of the items and your photo ID, and items we buy may be held for a period before they're resold.
Layaway, special orders and custom work
Layaway terms, special-order deposits and prices for Cerakote and other custom work are given in writing in the store. A price given by phone or from a photo is an estimate until we see the item.
Brand names
Benelli, Beretta, Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson, Springfield Armory, Ruger, Heckler & Koch, Leupold, Nightforce, Vortex, Cerakote and other brand names on this site are trademarks of their owners. Naming a brand tells you what we carry or work with and doesn't mean that company endorses us.

No warranties
We work to keep this site accurate and available, but it's provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Modern Pawn & Guns isn't liable for damages arising from your use of the site. Your rights for anything you buy, pawn or leave with us are covered by your paperwork and the law, not by this website.
